OUR FIRST
THOUGHTS
WHO ARE WE?
JULIA EVERTSON
Tracking: Skin
Hey, I’m Julia Evertson and I’m a junior advertising and public relations major. Before this project, I would drink around 64 ounces of water a day, so I knew going into this that drinking 128 ounces a day for the next seven weeks would be a challenge. I love skincare and makeup, so I knew that I wanted to track the progress of my skin. It has been interesting to see the ways my skin has changed (and not changed) throughout this process.
LAUREL BERRY
Tracking: Concentration
Hey hey I’m Laurel Berry I am a sophomore Advertising and Public Relations major. Before this project, my water intake was completely random and depended on the day. Throughout this semester I have been tracking how drinking a gallon of water helped my concentration in different classes and while I do my homework.
NIC FRITZIMMONS
Tracking: Anxiety
Hey, I’m Nic Fitzsimmons! I’m a Senior majoring in Sports Media and Communications. Before starting this project, I was already drinking around 90-100 fluid ounces of water a day, so I knew drinking 128 ounces wouldn’t be too much of a challenge. I have been tracking how drinking a gallon of water every day affects anxiety.
SARAH MERZA
Tracking: Sleep
Hey I’m Sarah! I am a Sophomore Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations double-major. Before beginning this project I would drink between 96 ounces of water a day, which I used to think was a lot. However, it was not even close to a gallon of water a day. Over the course of the semester I have been tracking how drinking a gallon of water affects my sleep, since that is an effect water is supposed to have on your body.
LUCI MORAN
Tracking: Weight
What's up, I'm Luci! I'm a Junior Advertising and Public Relations and Journalism double-major. I would consider myself to be an active person, so this project was a breeze. Prior to this project, I was drinking over a gallon of water every day. I'm in the process of cutting, so I am in a caloric deficit. I decided that throughout the semester I would try to drink over a gallon of water a day to see if it would help speed up my weight-loss.
